The hosts were delightful, and breakfast, which we ordered the night before, was just right. We had a lovely short stay on our way to Wales. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the homemade treats were a delicious surprise.

After the first day of walking the Ridgeway, this was a perfect stop. Megan and Michael made sure everyone was looked after. Check-in was easy, and the clean, comfortable room had everything I needed. The scones and cookies were delicious, and so were dinner and breakfast, with great options and good-sized portions.

We couldn’t make use of the nice outdoor space because of the rain. Still, it was a good overnight stay while walking the Ridgeway, with a friendly welcome, good service and a comfortable room. There were homemade cakes and biscuits in the room, and the home-cooked evening meal was good.

We’d booked dinner and breakfast ahead, and enjoyed both. My companion and I shared a clean, comfortable twin room for one night while walking along the Ridgeway. It had been freshly decorated, and the hosts were polite, friendly and easy-going. Good value all round.

The room was small, with just one dorma window and no view, and there was a lot of traffic noise from the road. A fan was provided, which was much needed in the heatwave. A complimentary scone was waiting when I arrived. The evening meal tasted good, though it had to be taken at 7pm. Breakfast was great too.
