The staff were all friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent each morning. The food at the sister hotel across the road was excellent too. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a super comfortable bed. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We had the best steak I’ve had this year in the restaurant, and the breakfast was proper, with decent sausages and bacon. The family run hotel is superbly appointed, with comfortable rooms finished to a high standard and excellent service. There isn’t a carpark, but there are plenty of spaces outside. If those are full, the sister hotel directly opposite has a large rear carpark. Book it, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve eaten here a few times but haven’t stayed. There’s a good choice of food, it’s well presented and cooked, and the staff are friendly with a nice atmosphere. One customer wasn’t happy, but she was given a replacement meal, finished it, and wasn’t charged.

The rooms were warm, quiet, spotlessly clean, and really comfortable. The place is friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was really good too. Had a lovely stay.

We wandered in off the street and asked for a quiet corner away from the other diners so we could bring our nervous rescue dog. On a Friday night, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, and we got to enjoy a romantic meal while helping our dog get used to being out in public. They showed us kindness and great hospitality. It was a memorable evening. See you again when we come back up north.
