Nant Ddu Lodge Hotel

The restaurant was the highlight for me. The evening meal was the best I've ever had, and the young staff were polite, lovely, and always smiling. We booked the Snowdrop special offer for £130, which covered bed, breakfast, an evening meal, and use of the spa facilities, so it felt like great value. The rooms are a bit dated, and the pool changing rooms need renovation, but I enjoyed every minute and would recommend a stay.

The lunch was amazing, with beautiful food and a fantastic choice on the menu. I also had a fabulous facial and shoulder massage, and enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi, pool area, and quiet room. The staff were really lovely. It was a great spa day.

The facilities need renovating. The changing rooms are very small, and the jacuzzi barely worked, with more tiles missing than still in place, which was a shame. We did enjoy our massages, and lunch was lovely. My friends and I visited a few months ago on an offer that included a spa treatment, facility use, and a light lunch. The hotel itself is lovely, easy to find, and has beautiful grounds, and the staff were friendly.

The hotel could invest more in upgrades and make better use of corporate tourism. Some rooms still need a refresh, and the experience varied from room to room. The restaurant food was tasty and welcome after a day's hike, though service for our party of 11 was slow at times. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating. A few of us used the gym and pool, which were adequate overall.
