The Bull Hotel

We had a really enjoyable stay. There was a good evening vibe with nice beer and great entertainment, and the staff were great too. Parking out back was easy and undercover. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. Water pressure was a little weak, but it didn’t spoil things.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was very good. I was happy with my stay at the Bull Hotel. The room was clean and nicely presented, and the bed was very comfortable.

The housekeeping couple were two of the nicest people I’ve met, always polite and smiling, and they made me feel welcome. The lady behind the bar who handles check-in was friendly and patient, and check-in and checkout went perfectly. I had a comfortable three-day stay at the bull hotel. The high street location didn’t bother me, and I slept well except Thursday night, when leg pain made me unwell. I wasn’t disturbed in the morning. Local shops are next door, including Tesco and boots, and water bottles were provided. My only small gripe was the bathroom tap and shower pressure, which was a bit low and briefly stopped on the second day, but came back after a short wait. Lovely warm people and clean, comfortable rooms. I’d recommend this hotel.

Room 9 stayed unusually hot, even when it was cooler outside, and we had the fan running constantly. At breakfast on both days there were no pastries or bread, though the area had jams, butter, tongs and a cutting board. We were told those items weren’t available, and the toaster was broken. There was no socket by the mirror for the hairdryer. We asked reception for an extension lead, but it never arrived.
