Dunster Castle Hotel

Lisa suggested some local restaurants, which really helped make our anniversary stay feel special. We also found the village location superb, with the castle just a short walk away. John and Lisa were wonderful hosts, our room was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. They even left us an anniversary card, such a lovely touch. Thank you so much ☺️

The roast dinner was the best home-cooked one we'd had in years, and it was very reasonably priced. John was a star in the kitchen, while Lisa was warm and friendly at the front of house and remembered everything we'd mentioned. We only stayed one night, but were glad we picked this place. Our small double was cozy, with lovely decor and biscuits and sherry as extra touches. The rooms throughout are beautifully designed, and the team made us feel welcome. Dunster is a gorgeous village, and the hotel is a real gem. There's secure, free parking at the back too. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay, Adrian and Louise.

The hosts were very attentive, and breakfast was great. Dinner was excellent too, with tender lamb and vegetables cooked just right. We had a comfortable, clean night in a standard double room. The hotel is right in the historic high street, only a stone's throw from the castle.

Really nice birthday stay, with helpful staff and a spotless room. I'd definitely return. If I had to pick something, the mattress could perhaps use a little TLC, though that might just be me.
