The hotel looks a little dated, but that didn’t get in the way of our day. Since it’s a 3 star hotel, what we got felt about right, and for the price it was good value. We’d read the Google reviews beforehand and expected a lot worse, so we were pleasantly surprised. The receptionist welcomed us and showed us around. The changing rooms were clean, with plenty of lockers and space to get changed. The men’s and women’s saunas were separate, quiet and mostly empty on Sunday. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed the heated water and used the jacuzzi too. We both liked our massages, then had tea and scones afterwards. We came as a couple for a spa day with a gifted voucher and had a wonderful time. If we’d paid more, we might have expected something more luxurious, but we’d definitely come back.

The spa day treatment was excellent, and the price was especially good with the hotel offer. The facilities and service were all excellent too. There’s a heated pool and sauna, and the gym has free weights, machines, treadmills and a punch bag. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant food was fine and filling. The hotel looks a bit dated, as people will probably say, but you’re paying for the facilities and service, not to lie on the carpet or lean against a wall. We didn’t stay overnight, so I gave the room 3 stars without judging it too harshly, especially given the hotel’s dated look. Nothing against the staff or facilities. For a spa day, a gym visit, or a stay for Chester races or business, I’d say it’s well worth a try.

For £40, we got full use of the leisure facilities, a scone and a 25 minute treatment, and we were pleasantly impressed. The pool was clean and a nice depth, the hot tub was properly hot with plenty of bubbles, and we found the sauna really relaxing. Three of us had facials and one had a back massage. We all enjoyed our treatments. The staff were polite and attentive, and the scones were lovely. My friends and I booked by phone and had a great time. I also liked that everyone kept to themselves and let others get on with their day. We had a lovely swim and made great memories. We’ll be back. Thanks for making it such a special day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The garden was lovely and spacious, a nice place to relax, take photos or have a stroll, and being able to bring our dog was a huge bonus. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. Clive deserves a special mention for hosting the wedding evening. He was attentive, professional and exceptionally accommodating. The rooms could do with renovation, though management told us refurbishment is already underway, which was reassuring. We had a great stay at the Brook Mollington Spa Hotel and would happily choose it again.

The staff were lovely and tried to help, but the hotel was honestly atrocious. The jacuzzi was gritty on the bottom and grimy around the edges. The pool looked off-colour, and the floors were cracked and dirty. There were cobwebs and mould throughout, and the changing rooms and toilets were grim. The treatment rooms were freezing, with no music, which made the treatments uncomfortable and awkward. Towels were thin, scratchy and tiny. We had no hot food to order, and the cream tea scones were brittle and scorched from being heated before they were served. They were so crunchy they fell apart when we tried to cut them in half. We had to ask for cutlery and clean plates because the ones provided were dirty. We booked through Spa Seekers for a spa day with cream tea and a treatment, with the option to add more treatments. The facilities were filthy and I wouldn’t recommend it. We weren’t told to bring our own padlock for the changing room lockers, but one of our party had brought one as a joke. It didn’t matter much, as the lockers were so broken that they opened anyway, so we had to carry our belongings around all day. The whole place needs a massive upgrade, or at least a proper clean.
