Best Western Lancaster Morecambe Lothersdale Hotel

As a disabled solo traveller, I was grateful for how helpful the receptionist was. With the lift out of order after a previous guest had misused it, they offered me a ground-floor room and brought a continental breakfast to my room. They went to great lengths to make the stay enjoyable. Thank you, I'll definitely return.

The hotel isn't especially polished, and the rooms are small and basic, but the service is what stands out. Check-in was among the best I've had, and the evening restaurant staff were great too. Parking is limited and costs £10, with a small car park across the road for £9.50. If you're in the area on the last Thursday of the month, the curry club is worth a visit.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which really matters to me. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked with good produce. Our room was lovely and clean, with a very comfortable bed and good bedding. We stayed for one night while travelling south, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Great location and a lovely hotel, with a very welcoming, helpful receptionist. The bar staff could use some etiquette training, though. One young woman kept telling us about all her problems without asking, so the evening wasn't as relaxing as we'd imagined.
