The Port House

We stayed at the port house this weekend, 18 to 20 July, and the room was very clean, with a big bathroom and a lovely large queen's bed. The bedding was good quality, with crisp white pillows, and we slept well. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were supplied and smelled beautiful. There was cold water, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, with more in the lounge if you ran out, plus a good size television. Being near a ferry port didn't bother us, and we were on the front. A cafe with excellent food is about a 10 minute walk away. Heysham village is just up the road, and there's a good pub round the corner, only a 2 minute walk, with lovely food. There's plenty to do if you drive out. We'd definitely come back, it was well worth the money. Thank you, dave and vickie.

The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and check in and out were easy to do yourself. I liked the shared room too, with its fridge, toaster and microwave.

We picked this place to be as close to the Port as possible, about an 8-10 minute walk. It was a lovely surprise to find such a beautiful house and room. The room was really nice and big, and the people running the Port House were so friendly and welcoming. Jack greeted us and gave us good recommendations. Thank you for everything, Jack!

The port is less than a 5 minute walk away, which made this a lovely little place in an ideal spot for an overnight stay. Our journey was severely delayed, so we arrived in the middle of the night. The owners were very accommodating, and we got straight into the room without any fuss. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
