The staff were really pleasant, and parking was easy. Check-in and checkout were quick, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only issue was a constant buzzing in room 40, maybe from a boiler room or something next door. It stopped around 10:30 p.m.

The bath and shower look like they’re from the 70s, and the place feels very dated. It needs a good paint job. Also, why isn’t there a mini fridge in the room?

You know what you’re getting with a Travelodge: a bed, a kettle and a room near Gregg's and burger king. The staff are friendly, and they keep tea, coffee and the rest topped up on the counter.

We needed somewhere to stay for a party in a nearby village, and this worked well for us. It had everything we needed. We went to a farm cafe nearby for breakfast.

The rooms are dated, but incredibly well kept, and you can tell the staff take pride in their work. There’s no breakfast, though greggs is just across the road. It’s not luxurious, but it’s ideal for a cheap, quick overnight stop on a journey. I’ll definitely come back if I’m heading that way again.
