I had a broken leg, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They moved me to a room near reception with assistance handles and offered to bring food up to me. The food was great and served until 10pm. Great value, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

The location is good and the price isn’t too bad for a hotel at the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and a credit to their employers. But I won’t return until it’s cleaned and remodelled. The windows at the entrance were filthy, and reception felt dated and unwelcoming, almost like a high-ish class flophouse. The heating is controlled, and the showers spit out hot water. It all feels set to miser mode. The TV only had Freeview, so you’re out of luck if you want to log into Netflix or YouTube.

The location is excellent, with plenty of overnight parking on site. Rooms are a good size and clean, though they’re looking a little tired. The bathroom was good, reception staff very friendly, and the food was fine.

8/10
The staff were superb, and the double room was only £52. It’s handy for the airport, and the food is okay, though pricey. The Smothered chicken (hunters) was £14.49, and the Lemon & raspberry semifreddo cost £7.29 for a thin slice, which felt a bit of a rip-off. The hotel and rooms are dated, pretty standard Premier Inn. There’s a Greggs a two-minute walk away in the terminal. Wish we’d gone there for food.

Just a few minutes from the airport, so it’s a perfect spot for an early flight from Newcastle. The rooms were clean and had what you needed, and the bar and restaurant were good and convenient while staying by the airport.
