Maldron Hotel Newcastle

A cancelled flight left us stranded in Newcastle, and when we returned to the city we were greeted warmly and given a lovely big room. It had tea, coffee and biscuits, and the beds were good. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast the next morning was very good, with plenty of cereal choices and a freshly made hot breakfast to order. The staff were really kind and helpful. If Maldron is available next time we book a hotel, we’ll choose it without hesitation.

I’ve stayed here several times, and the bedrooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. For a mid-range price, the hotel feels and looks more high end, and it’s beautiful with everything on its doorstep. All the staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. Sophia has checked me in a few times and is lovely, as are the rest of the team. Breakfast is gorgeous, especially the Hashbrowns :). Six stars for the price.

I’ve visited the Maldron several times for drinks and afternoon tea, and the service has always been fabulous. Last weekend I stayed overnight for the first time and loved the room. It was very spacious, with an SO Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was fabulous too, and the service was the best I’ve had in a long time. I couldn’t fault anything and will be back in the New Year.

The hotel is very clean and right in the city centre, with reasonable rates. The staff were extremely friendly. David made my stay extra special by offering me a coffee on the house in the grill/restaurant. I’d definitely recommend Maldron.
