We were a group of six, from age 10 to 82, and everyone was happy with the meal and the experience. We found the atmosphere lovely, the food imaginative and beautifully presented, and the value for money really good. The Sunday menu at £32 includes an amuse bouche, three courses and extra touches, with no hidden extras. We've visited twice now and had exceptional service both times. The art deco decor respects the hotel's heritage, with thoughtful links to Agatha Christie, who gives it added interest. Nathan looked after us with real professionalism, and the young man at reception also went above and beyond on both visits. Highly recommend it for the ambience, food and value. An elevated dining experience for all ages. High praise indeed. Well done Beechwood. 10/10.

The staff were so helpful and made our stay memorable, with all sorts of thoughtful extras. When we arrived, they offered to bring our cases in from the car, and we were treated to a scrumptious cream tea. We also had a tour and heard some history about the hotel, including that Agatha Christie was a regular visitor before it became a hotel. Our room was huge, with a four-poster bed, a lovely en-suite, a slipper bath and a massive walk-in shower. There were robes and fresh towels every day. We chose dinner, bed and breakfast, and the food was excellent. All our meal choices were included with no price limit. Dinner began with ordering in the art deco bar, then we were shown into the dining room. While we waited, there was a complimentary amuse bouche, a free pre-starter and freshly baked bread and focaccia. Breakfast had a lovely range of choices. The hotel was spotless, and the wine selection was good. My husband was happy with the beer on tap, too. The old-fashioned care and the way the staff went out of their way for us mean we'll return sometime. We'll recommend it to our friends. A wonderful find.

We had dinner and breakfast on both days, plus a cream tea when we arrived. The meals were fantastic, and the homemade scones were lovely. Our standard double room had everything we needed, including a nice bath, a walk-in shower and lovely toiletries. We stayed on 1st and 2nd April, and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's lovely to stay somewhere with such attentive staff. Christine

The food was delicious, especially breakfast, and everyone we met on staff was professional. Cindy was a real asset to the hotel. We had an enjoyable stay at this brilliant find, a cosy, welcoming place that feels more like a country Art Deco house. Thank you.

The hotel exceeded what we expected. We had a lovely room and a good night's sleep, and the dinner and breakfast were both spectacular. Thanks to the chef. The staff make the place, they're helpful and attentive. There are two EV charging stations in the back car park, which saved me having to find a charger for the journey home. 😀
