Central Hotel

I’d never been to Norwich before and was completely blown away. Emma, who I believe is one of the owners, and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and spotless, with lovely high-quality cotton bedding and an antique-style bed that felt like a nest. I slept amazingly. The location was superb too, and Emma suggested a Turkish restaurant on the corner. That place was a gem, and the food was scrumptious! I’ll be back and highly recommend it.

We’ve just got back from two nights at the Central Hotel in Norwich, and we were really impressed. Coming by train, the location was perfect. The staff were warm and welcoming, and our room was clean, warm, and comfortable. The beds were lovely, and we had fresh towels each day plus tea and coffee facilities. It was great value, and we couldn’t have asked for more. I’d recommend it, and I’m sure we’ll come back, maybe next year.

Emma was fantastic, and this independent hotel clearly takes pride in its service. It’s clean, nicely presented, under five minutes on foot from the train station, and close to food and pubs. The broadband is quick too. Definitely worth five stars. Thanks!

I spent 13 nights here while visiting friends in the area, travelling from Alabama on my own. The room was warm, clean, and practical, with a comfortable single bed, two pillows, and a fluffy duvet. I had everything I needed, including USB ports, a kettle, plenty of tea and coffee, hand soap and lotion, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. The armoire was especially useful, with shelves for clothes and shoes on one side and hanging space on the other, where I could also tuck a small laundry hamper underneath. The radiator was easy to adjust, and the room warmed up quickly; there was another radiator in the bathroom. I heard a little street noise at night, but slept well every night without needing earplugs. The service from Emma and the team was wonderful. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and polite, with a real eye for small details. Housekeeping noticed I liked milk in my coffee and left plenty of milk pods and coffee sachets whenever they serviced the room. When I had questions about the area or needed something like a hairdryer, they responded warmly and enthusiastically. I chose a budget hotel so I could stay longer and still have the basics. I got that, plus service that made the place feel like home, with the team greeting me like family whenever I came back. Thank you, Emma and team, for such a lovely stay.
