Fairhaven

The family room worked perfectly for the three of us, with beds, a TV, dining table, and a small kitchen that had everything we needed. It’s about 50 m from a Chinese takeaway and is ideal for visiting “Warhammer world”. Our host was so friendly and welcoming, with freshly made breakfast and good coffee each morning, always served with a smile and a “good morning”. If we come to Nottingham again, we’ll certainly stay here. Best regards, Anne-marie from Denmark.

We both slept well, with only a little disturbance from the nearby road. This traditional B&B is exceptionally clean throughout, and our twin room was just right, with comfortable beds and a decent sized en-suite. The owner was incredibly accommodating when we had to change our booking dates several times because of a house move. Even when I arrived at 9.30pm to check in, I was welcomed with a smile. We had removals arriving very early the next morning, so I didn’t expect breakfast, but the owner opened the kitchen especially for us and made a beautiful full English with proper coffee. The bacon was the best I’d tasted in decades, thick slabs with quality ingredients, and everything else on the plate was good and expertly cooked. There were also cereals and thick sliced toast with jam and marmalade, which set us up for unpacking. This hidden gem is in a residential area and has its own guest car park. Fairhaven hotel is now top of our list for visiting family in Nottingham, and booking direct gives the best prices. The bacon gets five stars!

I’ve stayed at the Fairhaven many times over the years when going to the Download Festival in Donington, and it’s always a pleasure. Tadeusz and his wife are welcoming, polite, and very accommodating. The rooms are always clean, tidy, and cosy, the facilities are decent, and they serve a lovely breakfast. I have no hesitation recommending the Fairhaven to anyone needing a place in Nottingham or the surrounding area.

The owner greeted us warmly and makes a very welcome breakfast in the morning that sets me up for the day. The location worked perfectly for our visits to Beeston. Good value too, with a tidy, well kept room. Thank you!
