Dinner, dessert, and the complimentary full English breakfast were all amazing. The bar and kitchen staff were fabulous, and the whole atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. We were treated like regulars. On arrival the staff were so friendly, and our cute room was very clean with a sparkling bathroom. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but I’d stay again and again.

Good beers to choose from and lovely Sunday dinners. I’ve been coming to this brilliant pub since I was really young, over 10 years.

The food’s good, the rooms are comfortable, and the prices are reasonable. It’s a lovely place to stay, with friendly and attentive staff. I’m definitely planning to return.

My Mum and I regularly walk down to the Nelson and Railway for dinner. The pub has a relaxed, unpretentious feel, and the staff are really friendly. We love the food and drinks, and it’s very affordable. There’s a good range of vegetarian choices, and I usually go for the halloumi burger.
