The room next door had at least five adult men and underage girls in a space meant for two. They were having sex in the corridor, which I believe was rape because the girls were underage. They climbed in through our window around 3am, then went onto the roof to smoke weed and party all night. I was bitten all over by bedbugs and had an allergic reaction. A week later I was still getting medical treatment for the severe reaction to more than 70 bites. The place was filthy, and the hotel still hasn't returned my calls. When I called during the chaos, they laughed at me and didn't seem to care. I was also charged £180 for the privilege. Absolute hell, the worst weekend of my life. Avoid at all costs.

The owner was kind enough to answer and help when we woke him up at 10, sorry! He fixes things quickly, and we didn't find anything wrong during our stay. I wouldn't pay attention to the bad reviews. 10/10!

I went to Oxford for a funeral and just needed somewhere to sleep, so this did the job. But there's no breakfast, and every room is a guest room.

The room was small but comfortable, and there are food shops right next door, as well as a bus stop to the city centre. I couldn't get in when I first arrived and had to wait 15 minutes for the owner to show up with a room key and explain the usual things. He then left the guest house for the rest of my stay. People actually live there, which I found off-putting.

We emailed the property to cancel our reservation four months ahead, then again two months before the scheduled stay. Two days after the booking was supposed to begin, they charged our credit card. When we called, the man we spoke to was incredibly rude. He said they don't check email and that we had to cancel on the website, even though there was no way to do that there. He didn't seem concerned at all about the trouble the charge would cause for our trip. This felt like a complete scam. Don't stay here.
