Milka's

My mother stayed here while visiting me in Oxford. Her room was very small and the water pressure was low, though the location made it good value overall. Later, while cycling past, I had trouble with my bike and leaned it against the wall at Milka’s while fixing it. A man came out with a barking dog, said he was the owner, and told me to leave. It felt unnecessarily intimidating. I won’t recommend the place again.

We weren’t guests, but asked if we could charge our EV while visiting Oxford. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, and couldn’t have done more for us.

Getting into the city centre is easy, with the bus stop right by the door, and there’s public bike and scooter parking directly opposite. Florence Park is only a five-minute walk away. The room and en-suite were sparkling clean, the shower was good, the bed comfortable, and nights were peaceful. The whole crew was fantastic and always ready to help. Strongly recommend!

The mattress was just right for my bad back, supportive but not too hard, and really comfortable. I’d stay here again for that alone. The room was clean, homey and cosy, and catching a bus into the city centre was easy. I also want to thank Petar, the owner. I was running late for my first day of classes because the ride I was waiting for never showed up. He saw me struggling and kindly offered to drive me himself, even though it was Sunday morning. He got me there on time, and that kindness has stayed with me. I wouldn’t expect a ride as part of the service, but I had to mention how much I appreciated him going out of his way. Milka’s has wonderful service, and they really did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. Thank you so, so much!
