We stayed one night, booking through Booking.com for October 11-12, 2025. After checking in, we found a large number of bedbugs in the bed that had spread to our clothes. We called right away to ask for another room, but were told none were available. Staff apologized and said they were sorry and would refund us. We checked out immediately without spending the night. We then asked Booking.com for the refund. Although the hotel had promised in writing to pay us back, Booking.com said the property had refused. We relied on the hotel’s word and left straight away without insisting on the refund then, but they apparently didn’t keep that promise. The place is very old and dirty, and the room was full of bedbugs. They now ignore our calls and messages, and we can’t reach them. I’ll file complaints with all the relevant legal authorities until I get my money back. I’ll add all the photos and videos of the bedbugs. Honestly, it doesn’t deserve one star, let alone three.

There were bedbugs everywhere, and our whole bodies itched. We had to leave the room in the middle of the night, with nobody at the hotel available to contact. We called a phone number and were told we’d get a refund, but it never came. This is a dishonest and fraudulent business. Don’t stay here under any circumstances.

The shower was awesome, and my room was roomy, comfortable and nicely arranged, with everything I needed, including an electric kettle and cups and glasses. It’s a small inn on the edge of an adorable town with adequate amenities. Just keep in mind that the rooms are upstairs on the second floor in an old building, so there’s no elevator.

The room felt dated, though it was clean. Staff were friendly and polite, and the location was convenient, just a short bus ride from the city centre.

The Desi style restaurant is worth a visit. The food was good, especially the garlic naan bread and Bombay potatoes. It’s also close to oxford brookes uni and a hospital, about 6-10 minutes away, with Tesco and sainsbury nearby. The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms comfortable, with towels, a fridge, tea and coffee, a small kettle and a convenient bathroom. Absolutely wonderful.
