Remont Oxford Hotel

The bus ride to the city centre takes about 15 minutes, and the stop is a convenient three-minute walk away. We arrived around 12:30 PM, before the 3 PM check-in, and left our bags at reception. Our room, #22, was on the second floor, so hauling luggage up the stairs wasn’t easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and a tidy bathroom. Cookies, tea, and hot chocolate were nice extras, but the kettle was in such poor condition that we didn’t use it. Breakfast had a good choice: full English, granola or muesli with milk, fruit salad with yoghurt, plus juice, tea, and coffee. For somewhere rated 4 stars, it felt closer to 3. The amenities and general condition are quite dated, so it could use updates to live up to that rating. #reviewbyafandi #tripbyafandi

I booked the three-bed room without expecting much, but it turned out roomy, comfortable, and clean. They provided water and plenty of tea and coffee. The staff were great, and breakfast was worthy of a 4* hotel. I was blown away. Huge recommendation.

The buffet breakfast was quite good, but food ran out quickly. It was included, along with plenty of parking at the front and back. Reception staff were helpful and polite, and the location was good. The bathroom had cracked floor tiles, not many toiletries, and the ones provided weren’t great quality. The toilet kept filling unless you went back and flushed again, and the bathroom door squeaked very loudly. Tea and coffee were available, but supplies were limited and weren’t replenished on the second day. Still, the location, free parking, and breakfast made for a nice stay.

The room was warm and clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast came with the stay, though it was pretty basic and bland. The hotel is relatively inexpensive and within easy reach of the city centre.
