The staff were brilliant, professional, and really helpful, and breakfast in the beautiful Alice room was excellent. The location works well too, with most places an easy walk away. Our room was clean, cosy, and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so good I could've stayed there all day. First class, absolutely. We'll be coming back.

Breakfast was delicious, and my Viking trip coordinator was always available. Viking did a great job choosing this hotel for our post-cruise stay. The hotel feels authentic and high class, and it was a great experience. Our room was big, the bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with great water pressure. The pump shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were handy, so I didn't have to pack those. I was very happy with the teapot and coffee machines too.

I've stayed at this property twice and have always liked its charm, quiet atmosphere, sensible feel, and location. My December 2025 visit was especially enjoyable thanks to Telma and Kunal, who helped with an unusual room request. Telma was enthusiastic and knew the property well, which made for a great conversation. Kunal made sure I got just the right room. Thank you both for being so kind. I enjoyed the stay immensely.

That downstairs bar felt so welcoming and homely. We loved sitting by the fire while it was cold and raining outside. The location is brilliant and central, the rooms were very comfortable, and the linen was beautiful. The bathrooms were attractive and well appointed too. We stayed for seven days and absolutely loved it. The staff went out of their way to help with anything. We'd love to come back.
