Farmers Arms

The cheesecake was heavenly, and the desserts were homemade. We stopped in for Sunday dinner while visiting family, and the carvery was amazing. The vegetables were proper home-cooked, and the joints of meat are steamed, giving them great taste and texture. Would recommend it 1000%.

The Farmers Arms is now one of my top recommendations for Sunday lunch in Cornwall. The staff were friendly and cheerful, always a good sign, and the interior is a lovely large space that still feels cosy and country-like. We had the carvery today and it was excellent, with plenty on my plate and three delicious meats. It’s dog friendly in certain areas. Thanks to everyone there.

At The Falmers Arms, St Merryn, the carvery was fresh and hot, with plenty of choice. Chloe took care of our table and checked that we were all right. We also saw her help a disabled lady to her table, and she seemed glad to do it. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, and everyone seemed happy working together and helping customers. A great atmosphere.

All ten of us had an amazing meal, and the food quality and service made the prices worthwhile. The chef even adjusted a couple of dishes and added something that wasn’t on the menu, which is great service. Thanks to all the staff for a brilliant evening. We’d definitely recommend it and visit again when we’re in the area.
