We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful time. Amanda and David were fantastic hosts, very knowledgeable and always ready to help. The rooms were so clean, with lots of extras, and breakfast was amazing 🤩. There was a lovely sitting room with a large TV where you could make yourself at home, plus a well stocked, spacious bar area. There's also a nice garden at the back of the hotel for sitting outside.

David and Amanda couldn't have done anything more to make our stay at their hotel lovely. From the cheerful welcome and cup of tea and coffee when we arrived, the service just kept getting better. Thank you both so much. We've already booked our next stay. Bill & Sandra

Amanda and David made us feel very welcome and were always friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean, and breakfast was really tasty. I’d happily stay here again if I’m back in the area.

The seafront is only a few minutes away, and we loved the little touches at The Briars. The rooms are decorated with real care, and even the face towel was labelled for removing makeup. There was a good choice of tea and coffee, plus Hotel Chocolate hot chocolate, which was a treat. Mandy and David welcomed us so warmly that it felt like visiting family. We booked for the August bank holiday and are already sure we’ll return. We’ve stayed in plenty of five-star hotels, but that attention to detail really stood out. Thanks so much, Amanda and David, from Sandhya and Paresh in London.

Breakfast was generous and a very high standard, and the room was spacious, spotless and had amazing views. Mandy and Malcolm were a lovely, welcoming couple. The Briars Hotel lived up to all its glowing reviews, and its central location makes it a great base for Paignton. We’d definitely return and recommend it to others visiting.
