Sonachan House

The continental breakfast had something for everyone in our family, and the chocolate chip banana bread was especially delicious. Our room was beautifully furnished and decorated, and with the children along we still had the best night's sleep we'd had in months. Leanne and Aaron were fantastic hosts, very accommodating with thoughtful extras like buckets and spades for the kids and a spare towel for the beach. We hadn't planned our visit far ahead, so those came in handy. It's a great location, with off-road parking. We'd love to come back.

We only stayed one night, but we'll definitely be back. The room had five beds, which worked well for a family, plus a Nespresso machine and sea views. It was quiet and clean, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was lovely, parking was available, and the place was easy to find.

The kids had a great time, and we all liked Goodrington Sands best. It's a short walk between Paignton and the beach, which felt more pleasant to us, and the hotel has buckets and spades to borrow. There's plenty to do at Paignton pier too. We were among Aaron and Leanne's first guests after they took over, and they were genuinely lovely, friendly people. Breakfast had choices for all of us, and the location was great. We're a family of five, with three children aged 6 to 16, and we'll certainly return.

Had my first breakfast this morning and really enjoyed it. The room is nice, clean and tidy, and the owners are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much bother. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and I'll be looking to come back myself.
