The breakfast was tasty, and the service throughout was excellent. Staff seemed able to take on different tasks, so we never had to wait long, even when things were busy. We stayed for two days and were welcomed warmly on a cold, wet winter day. The place was already warm, and the staff looked smart and were friendly. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and the bar was a relaxing place to sit. We enjoyed a piping hot, nicely presented meal with a good-sized portion, though I thought the menu was a bit pricey. We had a really enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

We both loved our meals. My partner chose the pork belly, and I had the 10oz steak, which was amazing. We dropped in on a rainy Monday night in February while staying nearby, and were surprised to find it so busy for that time of year and day of the week. Seems like a good sign. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely order another steak. Highly recommended.

We always meet friends here for a meal before going to the Enchanted Forest, and it never lets us down. The atmosphere is cosy and lively, and the Scottish pub classics are superb. It sits right in the centre of Pitlochry beside a lovely, picturesque stream. Just be aware the restaurant doesn't take table bookings unless you're a hotel guest, so arrive early or you could be turned away when it's busy. A must-visit!

We had the kids with us and felt hurried out, with staff asking four or five times whether we were finished. The food was overpriced and really disappointing. The burger looked appealing on the menu, but arrived on a plain bun with a dull patty that seemed like it might have come from the freezer. I suspect they had run out of burgers or accidentally served me a kids' one. It wasn't handmade or from a butcher, and it wasn't on the brioche bun described. I was still charged £23 for one of the worst burgers I've tasted. Wouldn't recommend it, avoid.

The food was really nice and the staff friendly, but I saw one of the chefs pick his nose and then use his hands to put food on a plate. After that, he licked his fingers and carried on cooking without washing them again. Very, very poor hygiene. Luckily he didn't touch my food, or I would have sent it back.
