Cuillin Hills Hotel

We first came here for our wedding dinner last year, then returned for our anniversary and had a great stay. The staff made everything feel personal, from check-in through the meals and checkout, and went out of their way to help. It’s in a peaceful bay beside Portree, close to several breathtaking hiking spots. The hotel has great views and rooms, and welcoming staff. Definitely worth visiting.

Breakfast was a real pleasure, with sunrise views through the panoramic window, and the food was tasty and made with high-quality ingredients. Everyone on the team was friendly and helpful. My husband booked this for my birthday, just how we like to celebrate, with a good hotel and great hiking. Our sea-view room was huge, exceptionally clean and comfortable to live in, especially for a longer stay. It had everything we needed, including a great coffee machine. I’ve stayed in some lovely hotels in the Lake District and Devon, but this is my favourite so far. I hope the hotel stays just as it is. I’ll definitely come back.

The staff were excellent and friendly, and we were sad to leave. The rooms have a traditional look, but they’re spacious, very well cared for and super comfortable. The hotel exceeded our expectations: it’s run in a traditional way, with warm, welcoming décor. The big fireplace in the front reading room makes it feel like the heart of the place. There’s also a beautiful, well-run bar, and the attendant was friendly and knew a lot about whiskeys.

The room, view, food and service were all outstanding, and the thoughtful little touches made it feel really luxurious. It’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and worth every penny. I’ve booked another night and can’t wait, though I’ll be sad to leave. I’ll definitely be back.
