The cooked breakfast was excellent, and my poached egg was just right 👌🏻. We ate well for the money too. The pub was lovely and the staff made us feel welcome. Our room was roomy, with a comfy bed and a big shower, and everything was super clean.

The landlady was so friendly and made our dog feel at home too. We stopped for lunch at this charming pub, and the tasty food came in generous portions at a very sensible price. It was a lovely bit of cheer on a wet day in January. Thank you.

Harvey's Sussex bitter, a great pudding, and a really good veggie option made for a lovely Sunday lunch. The food was fresh, delicious and served quickly. It's a small menu, but a nice one, in this quirky, friendly pub tucked away from the main A29 at Coldwaltham.

We all went for the crumble after sharing a burger and haddock between the three of us. The portions were huge and the food was really good. Three friends, we booked a table ahead for Saturday evening, and we'd definitely go again.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and we had fun at quiz night even though we came last. It's a great traditional English pub for drinks and good pub grub. We'll be back.
