Days Inn By Wyndham Stevenage North

We were visiting family and stayed on Christmas Day. AJ at reception made us feel so welcome, with such a cheerful, accommodating manner. The service was first rate, and it’s the reason I’d stay here again. Wonderful, smiling service. Recommended.

During my four days there, Anjali, Harish and Akhil were all diamonds. They were honest, down to earth, and went out of their way to make the stay more pleasant. Top marks for all three, they’re a big asset to Days Inn. 🙏🏽🙂🙏🏽🙂 The carpets and windows do need attention. That isn’t the staff’s fault, but the Heads of Days Inn should address it.

The location was amazing, and the staff were the best part of my stay of about four days. The three Asian receptionists, one woman and two men, were highly skilled and even helped a customer with poor mobility who really needed a carer. The Janitors also kept the rooms and other areas clean and tidy. Top marks to everyone. 🙏🏼🙂🙏🏼🙂 The owners should invest in replacing the carpets and windows, which need attention. Shopping centre prices are too steep too, so its owners should lower them. On the whole, an amazing place. Thank you to all the staff.

There are no on-site meal options, though the nearby food court is handy, and the hotel feels dated, with minimal amenities and a TV that’s too small to watch comfortably from bed. The shower swings from hot to cold, which was uncomfortable and a bit unsafe. The noise was the main problem. My first room was beside an electrical switch room with a constant high-pitched buzz, making it almost impossible to rest. Reception’s response when I mentioned it was curt and not very helpful. I was moved, but the next room had similar issues and was beside the A1 dual carriageway, so traffic noise added to it. If you’re a light sleeper or need quiet, I genuinely wouldn’t recommend this location. I won’t choose this hotel again.
