The room was spotless, had everything I needed, and the bed was really comfortable with crisp, clean linen. I paid just £52 for it. At breakfast, Fay was so helpful, and my cooked-to-order meal was fresh and made with good ingredients. Compliments to the chef. She even put together a mini pack-up for me, and nobody seemed to find anything too much trouble. The hotel felt clean, tidy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly from the moment I arrived. David was brilliant when I ordered a takeaway, bringing me cutlery and napkins. My room faced the car park at the back, so the busy road wasn’t an issue, though the nearby harvester could make it a little noisy. I’d definitely recommend it.

We had free parking on site, and it’s about a 15-minute walk up the hill to Rayleigh town. The buffet breakfast in the cafe area by reception was delicious, and the staff there were lovely too. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, and we had loads of laughs with them. The room was clean and tidy. Road noise came in with the windows open, but shutting them fixed that. I love this hotel. We stayed on the 2nd January and would definitely recommend it and stay again.

Breakfast had a tasty range of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was quiet despite being near a busy road, and it was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable too, and everything worked as it should. I did notice a brief smell in the bathroom, so airing it out a bit more might help.

Breakfast really made my day this time. I’ve mentioned its quality on earlier visits, but there was a noticeable improvement, with fresh, good-quality food and plenty of options for different tastes. I left full and fit to burst, and ready for the day. Fay welcomed us that morning with a cheerful smile and a can-do attitude, and helped me and my family. James was cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Thanks to them and the team for making breakfast such a treat. I’ve stayed at Premier Inn many times for business trips, and I wanted to share how much I appreciated it. I’d recommend Premier Inn to anyone wanting a comfortable stay and a standout breakfast.

I paid £600 for 4days, breakfast included, and it wasn’t cheap. We were in Essex because we couldn’t find a good-value or luxury hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t consider premier inn again. During our four-day family stay, our first room had a blocked toilet. We couldn’t move rooms until the next day, and the toilet still hadn’t been fixed, so in the middle of the night we had to use the public toilet by the entrance. We were moved only after reminding the staff. For the remaining 3days, the new room was never cleaned, even though we left early, came back late and had put the cleaning sign out. Clean sheets and a clean room every day are why I pay to stay at a hotel. Unfortunately, premier inn has really gone downhill.
