I want to thank the staff for going out of their way to make my son’s birthday a little better after a hard few weeks. He has autism and can be funny about staying at different hotels, as we like to go away for a treat every couple of months. In his words, “This is the Best Hotel ever.” Amazing hotel, nice clean rooms, good food and location, and lovely staff. Thank you again, everyone at travellodge Braehead.

The shopping centre was a treat, and there are nice walks along the Clyde just a few minutes from the hotel, with views of planes too. The staff were so helpful, the rooms were clean, and I loved their remote control hoover. I absolutely loved staying at this Travelodge and can’t wait for my next visit. I’ll stay again.

A great central location, and the staff were polite, welcoming and so helpful. When we had an issue with some bedding, the gentleman on night duty was at our room within minutes to help. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. Brilliant stay.

The location and parking are handy, with the famous Braehead shopping center nearby. I’ve stayed at this Travelodge twice, booking a family room both times. The first visit was excellent, but the second, which was just one night, was a complete downer. A faulty bath soap dispenser meant they gave us liquid soap in a coffee mug. I didn’t mind the mug itself, but with a 10 month old and a 4 year old, it was extra stress I could have done without. Then we got a noisy, springy, uncomfortable bed with a depressed mattress, even though they knew the room was for a family of four. I told my partner it was only one night, so we should just get through it. After a bad sleep, I was showering the kids so we could leave when there was loud knocking halfway through. My partner opened the door half dressed, and two women spoke aggressively, saying they needed to come in. They gave no explanation until challenged, when they said there might be a fire alarm situation. My partner told them the family was bathing and showering, and perhaps the heater could be turned off. Then they left. I came out furious because my partner was left in shock and had almost let them in because of their approach. I went to reception to explain they needed to handle that differently. Occupants have no control over the installed temperature detection, and asking to enter without first checking whether an adult is showering or the heating is on is a breach of privacy. The receptionist eventually saw my point and apologized, but the whole experience was still below par and not customer focused. If the first stay hadn’t been better, I’d have given the lowest score I could, so this is an average one. Avoid room 3 on the ground floor. At least seeing a rainbow as we drove into the hotel was nice.
