The hot tub and sauna are fantastic, and the general facilities are top notch. John's Valley View cottage has been our best stay for its location, walks and views, but especially the standard of the cottage itself. I've got to know John Keighthly, the owner, and Kevin in maintenance management, and they really can't do enough for you. Our family is figuring out when we can go back. Thanks, John and Kevin.

The drive into the parking area at the house takes a bit of nerve, especially the last few yards 🙂. Once there, though, it's a splendid place to relax and a great base for exploring locally. The house is very well appointed and sits in a quiet rural spot just outside Ilfracombe. I had a few minor cavils, all in all.

Lovely property and area, but the downstairs shower room really needs a toilet and sink. The potholes on the road up to the cottage should be fixed before somebody has an accident.

We had a lovely time here in May with ten of us. It's a great house, and the owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
