The rooms were fantastic, with garden views, and Salisbury centre was an easy walk away. They were deluxe, spacious, beautifully presented, and had kitchenettes with a coffee machine, sink, microwave, and fridge. The price was very reasonable too. I’d accidentally booked two rooms through booking. com for 2027 instead of 2026, and turned up with my travelling companions at 8pm a year early. Jason at reception was surprised, but luckily they had two deluxe rooms free. Jason and Helen quickly got us keys and showed us to the rooms. We all laughed about my mistake, and they were so friendly, kind, and understanding. Helen and Jason were fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend the place.

The courtyard view from our beautiful room was stunning, and I only wish we’d stayed longer. In the middle of winter, Helen made everything easy, including arranging food for us to take along when we had an early checkout for a private tour. The hospitality was lovely. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

The kindness and care we received were the best I’ve experienced in hundreds of hotels for work and holidays. We booked at the last minute to be near a family member in hospital, staying one night in The Boundary twin room and another in The Umpire apartment. The beds were incredibly comfortable, amenities were great, and breakfast was excellent. Cricket Field House was comfortable and peaceful, and I can confidently recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms were pleasant and large, and breakfast was good, but we left feeling as if our presence was an inconvenience. The owner was unwelcoming when we arrived and short tempered whenever we spoke. At breakfast I only wanted to confirm that they understood coeliac disease and cross contamination. The owner gave me a death stare and replied aggressively and sarcastically, as though I’d insulted her skill as a b&b owner. We just needed reassurance they could cater for coeliacs. We won’t stay again.

The room was very nicely furnished, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a little hard to spot at night even though the signs are clear, because it’s so close to the roundabout exit that it’s easy to drive past.
