Fair Lawn was a lovely place to stay. Room 8 was cute and had everything we needed, and the rain faucet head was a nice touch. The town is darling, with Stonehenge, Old Sarum, and Salisbury Cathedral nearby. There’s a cellar for breakfast and catering special events. I’d definitely recommend it.

Jo and her team made our wedding weekend in September 2025 feel really special. They handled room assignments and changes, meals, and all the guest moving around so smoothly, and Jo even called to ask how she could help organize everything. On the Friday rehearsal night, they hosted our close friends and family with a generous buffet of cold meats, cheeses, tarts, wine, and fizz. We were spoiled, and I wish I’d taken photos. Thanks, Jo. We’re looking forward to coming back. I first found Fairlawn House while searching for wedding venues around Amesbury. I met Jo, the owner, when she was hosting Sunday lunches at The Cellar restaurant. The food was delicious, and she was so kind and enthusiastic, even while busy, and showed us around the whole house. I knew then it would be one of our main family hotels for the wedding. Booking was easy, and the food was amazing.

A Little Place made a perfect base for Stonehenge and the surrounding area. Jo, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and all the little touches felt thoughtful. The period features were lovely, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. We had a lovely night, thanks for having us. 10/10, would recommend :)

Breakfast ran from 8-10 on Saturday, with continental choices as well as eggs, bacon, and toast. The dining room was pretty and pleasant. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, though hot water took a little while to arrive first thing in the morning. The staff were wonderful and friendly. It’s a tastefully done place with a nice atmosphere, in a cute town with several pubs close by.

It’s in a good spot, and we were welcomed by a friendly person who clearly explained how to find our room. The downside was that there weren’t any USB ports in the room, so we couldn’t charge our phones.
