The food and service were excellent, and the staff couldn’t do enough for me. I stayed at the Rivelyn Hotel Scarborough for over a week recently, and it was clean, warm, and friendly. I had a very pleasant stay and was quite sad to leave. Many thanks to Linda, Emma, and all the team.

Breakfast was fantastic value, cooked to order and served piping hot. The staff were friendly and professional, and Linda, the owner, went out of her way to make sure everything was as expected. Thanks again for your hospitality, Linda. We’ll definitely book again. We had a family catch-up weekend. The hotel is within a five-minute walk of the seafront, and the place was very clean, including our room. The bed was very comfortable, and the en-suite shower and bathroom were great. Couldn’t fault it.

The staff were lovely from my first email about the booking through to my arrival and the rest of the stay. The hotel had a cheap parking scheme for on-street parking. My room had been refurbished, with new windows, bathroom, carpet, and decor. The small lift was really handy since I’d hurt my ankle. I enjoyed an evening meal and a few drinks in the bar, and breakfast was really good. I also had a nice chat with the other guests. A proper traditional hotel where I felt welcome and safe.

The staff were brilliant, and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty, with local free-range eggs. The room needs some TLC. The bed was comfortable, but there were stains on the linen. The bathroom wasn’t great either, with an uneven shower temperature. The step into it felt a bit dangerous because of the tight space between the bed and door. Even with those issues, the hotel is brilliant, with a nice bar area. It’s an excellent place to stay, and I will be going again. Thank you.

We stayed two nights at this budget-priced hotel while visiting the Stephen Joseph Theatre, and it was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The staff were lovely, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and the whole place had a nice, safe atmosphere. The food was tasty and the portions just right for us. We’d misunderstood that food wasn’t served that particular Sunday night, but we loved everything else and the hotel exceeded our expectations. We weren’t expecting The Ritz at this price. It’s easy to get down to the lovely, clean sandy beach and seafront, especially The Harbour Bar for ice cream delights and more. Thanks to everyone there. We’ll definitely stay again.
