The bed was enormous and so comfortable, and those buttery-soft sheets made it hard to leave. The towels were just as memorable, really soft and smelled lovely, so now they'll be my benchmark for towels. The cottage-style place is a lovely little find, clean, and breakfast was laid out with bread, cereal, croissants, fruit, what I think was homemade jam, and tea, coffee, or fruit tea. White sugar wasn't available, but it was no big deal with toast and croissants. We also wished checkout were later so we could stay in bed longer. We needed to arrive before the 4 pm check-in because we were going to a wedding, and Addy had our room ready. If you're attending a wedding, book a taxi ahead of time since they're hard to get. We called Paul, the last number in the help book, and he went out of his way to get us to the wedding on time.

Everything was very clean, and the owners were really friendly, clearly proud of being good hosts. My wife and I spent a night here after a wedding at the nearby Hirst Priory. It's a lovely little cottage with everything you might need. There are several places to eat in the village, including a chippy, Chinese and Indian restaurants, plus a Tesco Express and Co-op about a two-minute walk away. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

After hours on the road, it was great not to have to go looking for a shop. One is conveniently just around the corner, and the host had thoughtfully left coffee, tea, fresh bread and cereal. The welcome was so warm, with a lovely smile. The place itself is lovely too. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We came because of Hirst Priory, which is very close by. It's a family-run B&B with a lovely room and a really nice layout. Everyone was friendly and keen to help make us comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it.
