About this property
The Coppleridge Inn is a traditional country pub set in an old farm house on the outskirts of Shaftesbury. We have 15 acres of meadows and woodland and unbroken views over the Blackmore vale. Set within the old farmhouse itself is the friendly bar (dogs welcome) which sets the scene for a relaxing drink.The pub has four different dining areas each with its own log fire and style and the Kitchen team offers a range of home cooked traditional and modern pub classics. In the summer we offer al fresco dining under the old vine on our Sun terrace, or in our Children's garden complete with chickens, or anywhere in the grounds.Our ten spacious ground floor rooms are situated around the tastefully converted court yard. All with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

Walking through bluebell-filled woodland to the ceremony was a lovely start to the wedding day. The sun terrace had amazing views over the hills, the reception room was beautifully decorated, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly for Jaimie-Leigh and George. The weather helped too, and the location, venue, food and service all came together to make it a perfect day. The whole weekend at the Coppleridge Inn was fabulous. From our arrival, Rupert, Sophie and their team couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel welcome. We had a family meal with the bride on Friday night, and the food was outrageously good. A few of us stayed in the bar afterwards, chatting with locals and the owners. Everyone was friendly, and it felt very comfortable. I can’t recommend the Coppleridge Inn enough as a wedding venue. I have wonderful memories of the weekend, thanks in no small part to Rupert, Sophie and their fabulous team.

Set among the countryside near the North Dorset-Somerset border, this lovely pub is close to Gillingham and its train station, as well as the picturesque market town of Shaftesbury. There’s a great outdoor and patio area, plus indoor dining. The food and drinks selection are great, and the service is amazingly friendly.

It’s lovely seeing lots of locals return to Coppleridge, where Sophie, Rupert and their team make everyone welcome. As local residents, we’re very pleased it has new owners and is back to being our 5* village venue. We had a wonderful Christmas lunch there in December for our business. The food and service were excellent, and thanks to Lincoln, our lovely waiter.

Our grandson even behaved, thanks in part to the very relaxed hosts. We had a pleasant Sunday lunch recently, with good food and excellent vegetables, especially the cauliflower cheese. The service was good too. Well worth a visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by the bill. It’s good value for the high standard. Everyone was happy with their meals and the service on our first visit, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Coppleridge Inn sits in a beautiful countryside setting with great views.
