We spent three wonderful nights at Haven Hall and loved the secluded, inviting pool area, with heated water, changing rooms and a sauna. There’s also a grass tennis court and an electric charging station, a nice touch. David Barratt greeted us himself with, “Welcome to Haven Hall, my home,” then showed us around the house and magnificent grounds overlooking the Channel. He and his lovely wife, Arielle, live there and are available around the clock for questions or needs. Their attention to detail shows everywhere. They’re engaging to talk to and had good suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Breakfast on the terrace facing the Channel was wonderful, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. I highly recommend Haven Hall and hope to return.

We cooked quite a few meals ourselves, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful, and the team, gardeners included, were very friendly. David, the owner, is knowledgeable and always available if you need anything. The location also worked brilliantly for us: we could easily walk to Shanklin and Sandown, and enjoyed lovely coastal circuit walks every morning. We had an incredible luxury getaway at Haven Hall. All those little details had been thought of, and things were there when we needed them. Highly recommend.

We didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or grass tennis court, so we hope there’ll be another visit. David and Arielle made us feel welcome and well looked after, and the breakfast and staff were wonderful. The manor house and property are lovely. They’ve created a truly extraordinary hotel through an incredible four-year renovation and build, with a world-class view over the Channel.

After travelling around and seeing so much of the island, it was lovely to come ‘home’ to Haven Hall. The scenery was beautiful, and the hosts were so kind in the way they spent time with us. The kids loved feeding the animals, and we had a quiet, relaxing stay. The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and the staff were friendly when we checked in. It’s a great location for exploring the area and good value too. We’ll definitely go again.
