ibis Budget Sheffield Centre St Marys Gate

The breakfast was gorgeous, with lots of choice and delicious food, and the calm restaurant had lovely decor. Yeshfa and Joanne really made the stay feel personal. They were friendly, engaging and helpful, and looked after us so well. The room was spotless, well equipped and full of thoughtful touches. It's a short walk to the city centre and great value for money. We had a brilliant time at this affordable little gem and hope to return soon.

I paid £41 for one night in a double room, which was great value. The room was small but had tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast had very little choice, so I wouldn't bother with it. Still, the hotel was a good deal.

Yashfa was so warm, attentive and helpful, and the rest of the staff were lovely and smiley too. They’ve clearly put thought into making the place feel cosy and welcoming. There was even free popcorn, which was a win. I liked the lobby enough that, if I lived in Sheffield, I'd pop in just to hang out. Thanks, Yashfa, for such a lovely time :)

We slept badly because sound carried from other guests in their rooms and people chatting in the corridor. I'd bring earplugs if we stayed again, and we would. The hotel is in a central spot for exploring Sheffield. Staff were friendly, check-in was easy, and the decorated reception and dining area was pleasant. The rooms were clean, modern and functional.
