The room was clean and had the usual kettle, tea, coffee and sugar. We liked being on the ground floor after a long walk, but the floor squeaked so badly that moving around made a lot of noise. There was only one hand towel and one bath towel for two people staying two nights, and just one chair too. I’d expect a towel and a chair for each person. The bed-side sockets looked modern but didn’t work. It would’ve been good to have a net curtain, since two men outside the window seemed to be up to no good when we visited. People were arguing after midnight and woke me up. Shame, because the staff were nice. There was plenty of parking, though it costs £3 per day. You’re next to a petrol station, and Lidl is a 10 minute walk away if you need anything the station doesn’t have.

Handy location for Sheffield arena, and the room was spacious and clean, though very dated. There wasn’t really any service, since breakfast was just a box to take back to your room. Some guests were smoking weed outside the main doors, and the smell kept following them in.

It’s convenient if you’re travelling and need quick motorway access, and the service was reasonable. The rooms could do with a revamp, though. When I walked in, I was met by the smell of smoke, suggesting some guests don’t respect the facilities.

It was an affordable stay, but too far from where I needed to go. Taxis were expensive, £5 just to get in a cab, so watch out for that. My duvet had a poo stain, and the USB port beside the bed didn’t work, so I had to charge my phone across the room. I was in ground floor room no.12, where the door kept opening and closing and people talked loudly. I didn’t get much sleep. I’d wanted a shower cubicle but got a bath with a shower instead. It was okay for the price, I suppose.

I’m here on business, and the staff have been really friendly. The room is clean and was very quiet at night. It looks like refurbishments are underway. Parking is decent and cheap, with a petrol station at the entrance. Shops and the city centre are nearby. Highly recommend.
