We stayed here the night before our father's wake, which was also held here. We were warmly welcomed and given refreshments when we arrived. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. They let us use the whole building for the celebration of life. Very well done, and thank you.

The room was peaceful, immaculately clean and had an en-suite. Everyone on the team was friendly and attentive. Thank you very much, and Happy New Year to you all. Highly recommend.

The all day breakfast was hot, tasty and generous, with two of everything. Our room was airy and light, and the bed was comfortable. There was only a thin blind, so the bright morning light woke us up, and the bathroom had carpet. A luggage stand would have been useful too. The beer garden could use some TLC. We’d come for one night to be near the Sunday Giant Flea market at the nearby showground. We arrived in time for lunch, and they had my favourite beer, Caffreys. Service was quick, check-in was friendly, and they’d reserved us a parking spot, a nice touch. Despite the drawbacks, it was a pleasant stay and I’d stay again.

I never expected to end up in the quaint town of Shepton Mallard, but I stumbled on what I can only describe as the most stunning English pub. With no other pub open anywhere in town, the shrubbery hotel let us dine and wine in style. The decor was stunning, and the food arrived on time and was delicious. They had it all. I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and a brilliant time.

Room 108 was cute and comfortable, with iconic little views from its two windows. The outside area looked a good size, and free parking was handy. It’s centrally located in Shepton M., and the price for a couple of nights was very reasonable. The owner was at the desk, which is rare these days. It’s clear she cares and is taking a series of steps to make the most of this historic, charming hotel. How many privately owned places like this are left? I didn’t eat at the restaurant, so can’t comment on that, but I’d stay again if I’m in the area. It’s easy to nip down the road to Glastonbury and enjoy the Tor views on the way.
