One thing to bear in mind is that this Victorian guest house has steep stairs, so I wouldn't recommend it for disabled guests. But if you don't mind stairs, it's a lovely place to stay, and we'll return. It's around a 10-minute walk to the town centre and five minutes to two decent pubs and a cinema. The en-suite rooms were clean and comfortable, with a decent shower. Breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh. You put your order on a noticeboard by 9pm the night before. There's ample on-site parking. With bus stops nearby and fares no more than £3, there's no need to drive. Exeter is only an hour away by local transport.

A spotless room, comfy bed, hot shower and very tasty breakfast, all at a reasonable price and in a good location. Amazing value for money, and I couldn't have wanted anything more from this B&B.

Sarah and Andy are happy to help with ideas for a day out. Andy knows the area well and can quickly point you in the right direction. Guests also get private off-street parking. This lovely guest house is just a few minutes' walk from central Sidmouth. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and every morning Sarah cooks a great British breakfast for Andy to serve. Give the Groveside a call, you won't regret staying there.

We're quite fussy and thought this guest house was excellent. We had a perfect eight-night stay and will be back. Andy and Sarah are great hosts. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and our spotless room had everything we needed to enjoy Sidmouth and the surrounding area.

Andy and Sarah looked after us well and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was super, and Andy shared lots of useful information about the area, local buses and places to eat in the evening. Very satisfied with our stay.
