Southview Park Hotel

We missed all the pool sessions because the hotel staff didn’t tell us anything about them. In the evening, the young guy running the arcade shut off all the electricity while I was using the machines, just because he wanted to finish early, even though closing time was still 20 minutes away. Won’t be back.

I’ve just found out the rooms have been updated, and they look amazing. This is the best hotel in Skegness. The staff are friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The scenic surroundings are great too. Thank you to Sumat and the team, who always make my stays a joy.

The girls on staff are a real credit to the hotel, and the regular bus service to Skegness is good. Drinks and food are expensive, but the hotel itself is brilliant. Definitely my first choice every time.

The restaurant is nice, and the food is pretty good for a holiday park. Reception said swimming didn’t need to be booked, but you really do need to book. It was always full, so we didn’t get to see what it was like. At first glance, the beds were made and comfortable, and everything seemed to be provided. The toilet flush had come off and stuck down, and the shower was broken so you couldn’t wash your hair. Both were fixed within a few hours of reporting them, which was a good response. But the sofas and mattresses were stained, and we spent three nights trying to swat flies after cleaning the floors, without managing to get rid of them. The caravan hadn’t been cleaned well before we arrived, and earlier damage, including the shower and what looked like burn marks on the table, had not been noticed or reported.
