The hostess let me check in early, which was a real help after an overnight flight with no sleep and arriving with a badly damaged suitcase. The room had everything I needed, including a private bathroom, TV, tea and coffee, and it was clean and quiet. The neighborhood was peaceful, with pubs and convenience shops nearby. The city centre is about a 25-minute walk, though taxis were easy to find and, in my opinion, cheap. My only gripe was the steep flight of steps up to the rooms. Since I was only staying one night, I could leave my main suitcase downstairs. No complaints otherwise.

Free parking was handy, and West Quay is about a 20-minute walk away. The place feels really dated, though, and the duvet smelled of body odour.

The room was dirty. There were clumps of hair on the carpet and hair in the bed, and the bathroom light switch was dirty too. They'd put down a puppy training pad instead of a bath mat.

It was clean and nice enough, but very basic, pretty much what you'd expect for the price. Fine for one night, but I couldn't have stayed longer. There was a lot of noise late at night, with doors slamming and people talking.

The owners were so welcoming and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable, and I'd certainly visit again.
