Beijing Dragon Hotel

Katie and I got a table for two straight away the other night. The food and service were amazing, and I’ve always found the quality to be top notch. Honestly, I can’t understand people complaining about the food here. Best regards, Katie and Ian.

The delivery arrived fast, and customer service was polite, which made the rest of this pretty shocking. We ordered in rather than going to the restaurant. There seemed to be so much MSG, those flavour enhancing salts, that our mouths felt physically burnt, and I threw up twice. I don’t want a refund. I just think this is horrific, and I’m surprised they’re still in business. Wow. Just wow.

My Chinese friend really enjoyed the food when we went last night. Everything came out hot and delicious, and it was served quickly. I’m not sure why locals speak badly of the place. Ignore the rumours and try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

The checkout was the worst part of our stay at Beijing Dragon Hotel. The woman in charge accused us of taking towels without checking the wardrobe, where we hadn’t touched them. We asked her to check the drawer where they were, but she never came back or apologized. We’d booked three family bedrooms, and the rooms were disappointing too: poor quality beds, with one tilted and uncomfortable by morning. The bathroom smelled terrible, the kettles didn’t work properly, and the fan was very noisy and unstable.
