Torrington Hall

I’m here nearly every week. The rooms are a good size and really comfortable, and the showers have strong water pressure. There’s a handy fridge in the room, free parking, and the location is great. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was spacious, quiet, clean and orderly. Checkout at 10am feels a little early. St Albans Cathedral is about a 15-minute walk away.

We hired all six bedrooms in Torrington Hall for the weekend of 8 August and held our wedding party there. The rooms were bright, clean and splendidly glamorous, with decor fit for a king. We loved the property, and the owner was generous, accommodating and helpful throughout. We catered for the event ourselves, and it all went smoothly. Each room had a fridge, tea and coffee, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer and more. It’s a few minutes’ walk from St Albans town, the station and the Cathedral, and one room even looks out over the Cathedral. We found it at a great price and hope to return next year for our first anniversary. Thanks to the team.

The room was great, clean and well presented. Just be aware that some other rooms are rented to shift workers, who may come in late at night and make a bit of noise.
