L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa

The spa was a highlight, with a 10 m pool, hot tub, new sauna and steam room. I wished the tub were hotter, but that’s just my preference. The gym is compact and fine for a quick workout. Breakfast was delicious, with a great buffet selection at the weekend and weekday menu service. Pedro, Alina and the rest of the team were so helpful. On our last morning, my wife’s waffle and my eggs Benedict were both great. We also ordered room service on the first night. It arrived promptly, and there was no tray charge. We were there off season, so the grill restaurant was closed and tables were set up in the bar instead. The food was exceptional. I had steak, my wife had monkfish, and for our anniversary we started with cocktails, then shared a pudding and had a liqueur after dinner. It came to £124.00 and felt well worth it. Our deluxe sea-view upgrade was a good choice. The top-floor room was a nice size, with a balcony facing the bay and a spectacular view. The bed was comfortable, and there was a TV, tea and coffee setup, a fridge with water and a pint of Jersey milk, plus a large, spotless bathroom. Turn-down service was available, though we didn’t use it. Tony met us at the entrance, took our bags and, while the room was still being prepared after our early flight, had suggestions for what to do. Reception called when it was ready around 2.30pm, and Tony had already brought our bags up. We picked L'Horizon after a long search, partly because of that upgrade, and were glad we did. Flights from Heathrow were quick and easy. A taxi from the airport cost £12, while the bus to St Brelade's is infrequent. The hotel looks a little tired from outside, but inside it was delightful. St Brelade's is a great base. We hired a car, which made getting around much easier, and found free parking at most places on the island. We had a fantastic few days of walks, history and friendly people, and didn’t want to leave. We’ll be back. I’d steer clear of St Helier.

It’s away from st Helier, but the sea makes that easy to love. The staff were really friendly and professional, the service was amazing, and breakfast was fresh with a nice range of things. I’ll definitely come back.

We had a family afternoon tea, kids included, and were really impressed by the choices. The children’s tea was amazing. It’s been a while since I stayed at L’Horizon, and I was pleased to find the room beautiful and comfortable, with a fresh, plentiful breakfast too. The staff were fantastic and gave the hotel real credit with their five-star service. We recommend it and will be back soon.

The team made the whole visit feel special. Everyone was warm, welcoming and ready to help, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The rooms were spotless, the facilities excellent, and the atmosphere so relaxing. We had a great stay at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa from beginning to end. I’ll definitely return.
