The side room looked over a delightful garden and was cheaper than the seaview room on the main road. Even so, the soundproofing was excellent and I never heard the traffic. Everything was spotless and nicely designed, including the ensuite shower, toilet and basin, which came with shower gel. Gail keeps things very well organised, with an ironing board and extra milk and coffee on the landing, and her information folder explains how everything works and where to go. She also gives enthusiastic local advice at breakfast, drawing on her experience and love of the area. I liked having privacy and no daily room service unless I asked for something. I prefer keeping things as I like them instead of having the bed made. It also suited me to have breakfast as an option rather than included. I had a good-value breakfast and dinner at the vegetarian restaurant The Bean Inn downstairs, with local artists' work on the walls and friendly waiting staff. On my last morning I ate the lovely St Ives cakes I'd bought instead of carrying them home. There are so many wonderful cakes and pasties, including my favourite apple and blackcurrant sweet pasties. I miss them already. The T2 bus stops just outside, and it's three stops or a 20-minute walk to St Ives. Hayle's National Express bus stop is 20 minutes by bus, or you can walk the Coast rd to both places. Tesco is a two-minute walk away, tucked behind greenery at the roundabout. I'll definitely stay again.

We loved this place. It's a small B&B, but funky, relaxed and spotless, and the breakfasts were amazing. They're served in a colourful room with an excellent view. There's parking right outside, a Tesco superstore around the corner and beaches within walking distance. It's also a handy base for the surrounding tourist spots. We had dinner there one evening at the bean inn veg restaurant, and the food was colourful, tasty and amazing.

The Bean Inn veggie restaurant is really good, and the location is handy: the bus into St Ives stops right outside, and you can also walk into town easily. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The shower room was a squeeze, with a tiny wash basin. It wasn't bad value, but book direct rather than through Air BnB, as we could have saved money.

The breakfasts were a highlight: my partner loved the banana pancakes, while I had the full English and especially liked the sweet, perfectly cooked tomatoes. Gail and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Gail even printed the day's weather forecast for us each morning. We were there for four nights on our honeymoon and stayed in the Bell Heather room, with a stunning sea view and lovely pictures. The room was stylish, the ensuite was very clean and spacious enough for our toiletries, and the bed linen was wonderfully soft. Getting to St Ives was easy by taxi, about £5, or on the coastal footpath. The walk takes around 20 minutes and is steep in places, but the views are breathtaking and it was well worth it. There's also a TESCO about five minutes away. We visited St Micheal's Mount, going from Marazion by causeway and returning by boat, which was so much fun. It's a climb to the castle, so good shoes are advisable, though I'm rather unfit and still had plenty of energy to explore it. The Lost Gardens of Helligan were mesmerising, full of history and a lovely story of restoration. I'd recommend these famous botanical gardens to romantics and anyone who's a child at heart. You can get a combined ticket for Helligan and the Eden Project at a bit of a discount, and the Eden Project was incredible too. We also went to Seal Rock on the Sea Horse, booked through the Sea Ranger. The hour and a half of Cornish coastline views were gorgeous, and we saw beautiful wild seals and some Sunfish. Nothing had prepared me for how cute the seals were. There's still so much we want to see and do, so I'm sure we'll return soon. We wholeheartedly recommend this warm, charming B&B and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Coast!

It worked out perfectly for our stay, and we were given a warm welcome. The train station isn't far away, with a train into St Ives. The local restaurants are very good too. If you like Spanish food, La Casita is an easy walk and a must.
