The doors bang noisily through the night, and you can hear what sounds like people moving around upstairs from a first-floor room. The ceiling between floors seems paper-thin. The rooms are clean, but they feel worn and are in need of an update.

The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable, and the staff make us feel welcome. Tom even remembers our drinks, and the waitresses are lovely too. We stay here often because it’s close to family. The Haywain Beefeater is right next door. My wife needs to use the allergy menu, which has limited choices, but the food is always good. The staff were very helpful and offered advice.

The room was huge and very clean, and it even had a bath, which I made full use of. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and they even put up with our crazy antics. Food at the place next door was fine, with lots of options, and the staff there were great too. I had a one-night trip that was part business and part pleasure. I picked this spot because it was near somewhere I needed to visit on the first day, so I wouldn’t have to drive far when I was tired. It was also an easy, direct route to my second-day destination. Nothing to complain about. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.
