Holiday Inn Express Stoke-On-Trent

Breakfast was part of the rate, with English breakfast, fruit, pancakes and cereal to choose from. The room QR code was really handy too, much quicker than leafing through all the flyers. Staff were friendly, easy to approach and gave us the information we needed. We came to Stoke-on-Trent for the weekend as a family of four, and Holiday Inn seemed the best fit. The room was clean and had everything we needed, though it felt small once the sofa bed was opened. It was quiet and good value for our weekend.

What made the stay was the staff. Our children got hungry in the middle of the night, and the team couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. They went out of their way to help, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We're grateful and would happily come back. The rooms at the Holiday Inn in Trentham were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of choice for the whole family.

One thing to watch: if Stoke City have a home match, lots of fans use the hotel car park and it can take up to an hour to get out if you're leaving when the match ends. At other times, access and parking are really good. We booked two rooms overnight through the IHG app, one double and one with twin beds, and choosing them was easy. They also let us into one room early, which helped because we had to leave quickly for a reception. The room was plain but more than adequate, with plenty of space and a decent bathroom. Breakfast had hot food, bakery items, cereal, fruit and hot drinks, enough to get the day started. A convenient hotel.

The beds and bedding are good, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms look a little tired, and the heating system is old, though it worked okay. The bar is fine, and there's space to work in the restaurant and lounge. Breakfast was decent for something included in the room rate. Parking is included as well, and the nearby Harvester is only a short walk away and did a good dinner. A pleasant place for a Holiday Inn Express.
