The Ship Inn

The room was warm and cosy, with a fantastic view, and the toilets were clean and heated. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent, and breakfast was fantastic. The cleaners were polite and on the ball. A few things to know: the hot water was hard to control and nearly scalded me, there are no USB charging points, and the bed is very firm. The pillows were terrible, so I'd bring my own. Still, the location is excellent, and there's a 90% chance we'll return, with our pillows this time.

We spent an afternoon in the bar, had dinner, stayed the night and enjoyed the included breakfast. Everything was handled with such generosity and ease, and no request seemed like too much trouble. This is how hospitality should be. Highly recommended.

We visited this really beautiful inn on Hogmany before the Fireballs. It was extremely busy, but service was pretty quick. All the indoor seats were reserved, which was what we'd expected.

A decent spot by the harbour for a pint and a meal. It can get busy, but there's plenty of seating inside the restaurant and outside. The sun reaches it in the morning and evening, and both locals and tourists seem to like it.
