I don't usually go for carvery meals, but this one was first class. Probably the best I've had while travelling around the UK. The food is excellent.

A lovely start to our Hebridean trip. Reception gave us a warm welcome and good suggestions for tourist attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely, with loads of choice at the buffet. The waitress and waiter were both lovely too.

The staff were nice, and the dinner was great. I had the salmon two nights running. Breakfast was a waste of money for me, so after paying for it I ended up eating next door instead. Beckett and sons next door had lovely clean food and a great atmosphere. The room felt a bit like a dorm, outdated and without frills, though it was adequate. There was no AC, but plenty of hot water.

The people were the best part of an otherwise average hotel. The lassie on reception and the two lads at the bar were first class. Dinner was decent enough, though expensive. There was a lot of noise in my room overnight, maybe someone singing? The beds were comfortable enough, but there were no spoons for making tea in the morning.
